La Manufacture at Casa Manzoni for MDW 2023
We are thrilled to be a part of Milan Design Week 2023, April 17th to 23rd, with a special exhibit at Casa Manzoni featuring an unexpected encounter between contemporary design and historicity. As part of the exhibit, we will reveal new products by the German designer Sebastian Herkner alongside some of the most iconic items in the La Manufacture collection, including pieces by Neri&Hu, Nendo, Luca Nichetto, Patrick Norguet, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Front, and many others.

The exhibit will offer a multi-layered experience envisioned by interior stylist Greta Cevenini and directed by creative agency Studio Blanco. Our vision will come to life at the intersection of fiction and reality, an idea of Manzoni’s personal space reimagined as a contemporary fantasy.

On this occasion we will showcase for the first time three brand new collections – Moos, Gem, and Breeze – designed by Sebastian Herkner. These new products will be unveiled inside the rooms of Casa Manzoni, where small domestic worlds will come to life, blending our new and core  designs with the legendary atmospheres of the famous writer Alessandro Manzoni.

The soundscapes, inspired by Alessandro Manzoni's oeuvre, will merge original compositions by Mary Lattimore and voice and sound installations by artist Elena Rivoltini. For the duration of the exhibition, the food installation will be curated by The Alchemist, a Milanese culinary project focused on the intersection of food and thought.
